The touch screen can identify touch of 10 fingers at a time. The hardware of the phone consists of a Qualcomm snapdragon quad core processor. Speed is 1.2 GHz and 1GB of RAM. The phone runs on the most recent version of the Android KitKat 4.4 OS. It comes with an 8GB of internal storage, which will be expandable up to 32 GB with a micro SD card.
On September 1st of this year Sony Xperia C3 will be available in Indian markets. The price is expected to be Rs. 23,999. Phone will be available in three colours viz. White, Black and Mint and with two variants viz. Single and Dual SIM.
Talking about the camera, we have 5 mega pixel wide-angle front camera with flash that features 25 mm lens. It gives a field of view of 80 degrees. There is an option which is called Auto mode. It automatically adjusts itself for suitable lighting conditions. The flash is uniquely one. To click a selfie, just double tap the back cover or else use Smile Shutter. We have 8 mega pixel camera at the rear side of the phone. It also features an LED flash. It supports full HD video recording on it.
The phone is pre-loaded with selfie camera applications such as Portrait Retouch and AR effect. The connectivity options are WI-Fi (802.11 b/ g/ n), USB, NFC, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0. No IrDA and no Java in this phone. That, I think isn't needed really. The phone contains a non removable battery of capacity 2500mAh. It gives 11 hours of talk time.
It has Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor included in it. What you will miss are Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Temperature sensor.
So, what will be the reasons to buy it? First it will be your hobby of clicking selfies. Let me list out other pros and cons step by step.

Comparison
Let us compare with HTC Desire 816, which is released in May, 2014. The thickness and the weight of Sony Xperia C3 are 7.6mm and 150 g respectively. Whereas the HTC is 7.8mm thick and it weighs 165 g. The display technology varies as the Xperia C3 uses an IPS LCD display, while the HTC consists of Super LCD2 display. The Desire sports a solid 13 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, whereas the Sony phone has an 8 MP primary camera unit with LED flash. The Desire houses a Li-Po 2600 mAh battery unit, while the Xperia C3 uses a Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery unit. Both are non-removable. I think Xperia C3 wins here. So, what will be the reasons to buy it? First it will be your hobby of clicking selfies. Let me list out other pros and cons step by step.
