New OS from Firefox for Smart phones

What is the difference?

The OS is very light. It doesn't need a heavy processor to run. The battery life will be more enhanced. Overall it is user friendly with nice and smooth interface. Both the Smartphone's released, giving free 1500 MB data from Aircel. These will reduce user's headache about initial GPRS costs. Response to touch on both is good. The main competitors will be Google Android and Microsoft Corp.'s Windows OS. They are in the market for several months at these price ranges. But it will be good to see how Firefox OS will improve and hold the market in its hands.

In Firefox OS you don't have to enter your Gmail account ID to start the OS as in Android. You can directly connect to the internet without any troubles. And compared with Android the Firefox is relatively easier. All the important icons will be present on home screen with a swipe. And if you want to search anything very urgently just press the bar telling 'I am thinking of...' which will redirect you to Google search.

All the major social networking sites are included as icons. Just click on them and you will be ready to share! Only WhatsApp is not available directly to the users. But you can connect via ConnectA2 which is a third party app. And also like WhatsApp you will miss those famous games which you are addicted to, in Android. Like Temple Run, Candy crush etc. are not available currently. Let's hope they will be available in future.

Firefox OS 1.1 Simulator (version 4.0.2)

This add-on is compatible with Firefox 30+ and Firefox OS 1.1. To test your applications in Firefox OS you can use this. This add-on is quite heavy and takes more time to install and begin. After installation just go to tools>web developer menu to access it. Click Stopped button to make it run. A pop up window opens and shows you the OS screen with default pre-installed apps.

It is basically just HTML 5 and a web code for everything that it executes. So, if you want your website as an app in this OS it is really easy. Just convert it into an app and test it with this simulator.
